Top 3 Parks in College Station | College Station Newborn & Family Photographer
Spring is on the horizon, College Station folks! If you’re anything like me, you are CELEBRATING! Of course, we’ll have to deal with some rain over the next couple months, but you better believe that I’ll be spending aaallll the sunny days outside. While I think all College Station parks are wonderful, I just had to share my favorite three parks and why they made my list.
Stephen C Beachy Central Park
This College Station park has literally EVERYTHING! Activities for mom and dad, plus the kids. Here are some of the things this incredible park has to offer:
The “Fun For All” Playground— I LOVE this playground because it is accessible to kiddos (and parents) with differing needs. It is equipped with ramps, adaptive swings, a music area, a mini terf football field, a splash pad, and so so much more. Bonus! It is surrounded by a tall fence with double gates for safety. Besides this, Central Park has two ponds for fishing and duck watching, ten acres of woods with walking and biking trails, a pavilion with electricity, water & restrooms, picnic tables, bbq pits, basketball, volleyball, & tennis courts, and SO much more! This park ranks as #1 on my list because of the diverse amenities.
Lick Creek Park
Lick Creek Park consists of 523 acres that displays a variety of trees, native plant & animal species, and trails. This makes it the perfect place to take your kiddos for a little adventure! Even better, Lick Creek Park has an outdoor classroom, a monarch butterfly garden, a meeting room, and restrooms! Tours and workshops such as “Wilderness and Remote First Aid” and “Get Growing With Brazos County Master Gardeners” are held for adults and children, making it the perfect place for your whole family to learn about nature. I looove nature, so clearly Lick Creek had to make my list. But also, it’s the perfect place for a photo shoot!
Wolf Pen Creek Park
Wolf Pen Creek features paved trails that are perfect for walking, running, and biking. Amenities also include a playground, pond, amphitheater, and large open field. This is a perfect place for your kiddos to burn off some energy or for you to join a group of friends for a game of soccer or ultimate frisbee. Or the perfect place for some outdoor newborn photos! ;)
