My Photography Journey | College Station Newborn Photographer
What did you want to be when you were a teenager? For me, I wanted to be a photographer. Although, I took a few detours along my journey to becoming a full time birth, newborn, and family photographer.

Throughout my pre-teen and teenage years I fell in love with photography. I started with nature photography, then still life, then food photography, then portraiture, then livestock, as well as some babies and newborns. In fact, I photographed my first newborn at the age of 16! I would spend hours a day shooting, editing, reading about photography, and scrolling Flickr. I was so passionate. My last few years of high school I became interested in livestock photography and marketing and decided to pursue my degree in Animal Science at Texas A&M University.
While in college I worked several different jobs, most of them with kids or babies. During this time my passion shifted from livestock to people; babies, kids, and families. Right after graduating in 2018 I started pursuing photography more seriously. I photographed a few newborns and I seriously fell in love. I had photographed newborns before, but this time it was different. It just felt so right.♥ During this time I also worked in the Life Skills classroom at a middle school and then after that I worked another job with kids who have special needs. People who are differently abled are so, so important to me and as a photographer I strive to connect with and adapt to each person that I photograph.
A little over a year ago I quit my full time job to grow my business in birth, newborn, and family photography. Best. Decision. EVER!! Do you know the feeling when something feels SO perfectly right? That’s how newborn photography is for me. I love everything about newborns. Their squishiness. Their smell. Tiny, wrinkly feet. Button noses. Chubby cheeks. Itty bitty squeaks and grunts. Biiiig stretches. And of course those sleepy yawns. ♥♥♥
All in all, I’ve been practicing photography for over 10 years, but it was around 2018 when my heart settled on newborns, babies, and families. My business has been growing and thriving since then. It fills my heart with joy to be able to serve you, my sweet clients, by capturing sweet memories and creating beautiful artwork for your home.
